Florence Canal Reach 2

The channel was slip form paved with 3 lb/yd³ of FiberForce 650 macrofiber reinforcement. The fiber was specified into the project by George Cairo Engineering. San Carlos has been using this fiber in channels to help mitigate cracking and increase durability. Fibers increase ductility which leads to a longer life of the concrete. SCIDD has been using fibers in their channel lining projects for over 10 years with success.
