Both the FiberForce and DuraForce product lines can fast-track construction schedules and lower direct costs in slabs on composite metal decks. Fibers can be used as temperature shrinkage reinforcement, reducing the time needed to place continuous reinforcement.

The ANSI/Steel Deck Institute (SDI) Standard for composite steel floor deck-slabs recommends a minimum dosage rate of 4lb/yd³ for synthetic macrofibers. The use of fibers in slabs on metal decks is limited to composite decks only. Care must be taken when selecting which steel can be replaced.
