Koi Pond

The homeowner had an existing Koi pond that they wanted to expand. No expense was spared in the creation of the Koi pond. Heavy gauge rebar and shotcrete were used to line the pond. In total, the shotcrete process took around two weeks with each pour consisting of 40-60 yd³ of concrete.

The homeowner wanted the inclusion of a synthetic macrofiber along with an integral waterproofing agent. Fiberforce 650 was selected at a 3 lb/yd³ dosage rate. Even though the Koi pond was reinforced with rebar, the homeowner also wanted the FiberForce 650, synthetic macrofiber, for it’s high post-first crack residual strength properties.
