Millennium – Park Central

For the Millenium-Park Central project, FiberForce 750 macrosynthetic fibers were used in place of 6×6 W2.1xW2.1 welded wire reinforcement on top of a composite metal deck. The Steel Deck Institute, SDI, allowed us to replace temperature and shrinkage control steel with macrosynthetic fibers at 4 lb/yd3. Baker Concrete and FiberForce worked together to value engineer this project to help with time and safety and to offer a better value to the owner.
